Kildare Local Studies holds a broad range of material relating to the history of County Kildare. It comprises of books, journals, newspapers, photographs, postcards, maps, audio-visual material (including oral history recordings), programmes and a variety of ephemera. Material published about or by people in Kildare is the focus of the collection, though the collection also includes an extensive general Irish history collection including a significant collection of books published before 1850.  The majority of books and periodicals in the collection have been added to the public library catalogue and can be searched for at online library catalogue; please note that the updating of collections listed is ongoing.
