I'm a teacher/childcare worker. Can I get a library card for classroom use?
Yes! Teachers can sign up for an 'Education' library card; this allows you to borrow up to 40 items for a loan period of 12 weeks (3 months approx.). These cards are available to staff working in registered pre-primary, primary, and secondary education institutions.
To apply, call into your local branch with photo ID and a letter from your institution confirming you work there and that you are applying for the card for use in the classroom.
Please note, this card can only be issued to staff working in educational institutions located in Co. Kildare.
You can also apply for a card to borrow items from our Toys, Technology and Training catalogue of assistive toys and equipment for classroom use--please contact your local Kildare library for more information.
