Ag Fanacht – Exhibition with Blue Way Art Studio
Join us in Athy library for the exhibition "Ag Fanacht" from Friday 20th of October to Friday the 27th of October by the Blue Way Art Studio. The exhibition, Ag Fanacht was inspired by Ireland's Decade of Centenaries and looks at the experiences of the Kildare war widows and the women who lost loved ones during the First World War. This exhibition seeks to display a body of work inspired by the experiences both during and after the Great War of the widows, mothers and other loved ones Kildare soldiers left behind. It will also explore and illustrate the experience of the families of soldiers buried in France, whose loved ones never came home.
