Come along to Naas Town Hall to hear the story of the last royal visit to Punchestown when Edward VII and Queen Alexandra came to Naas by train.
Come along to Naas Town Hall to hear the story of the last royal visit to Punchestown when Edward VII and Queen Alexandra came to Naas by train – yeah, there was a railway station in Naas in 1904 to add regal glamour to the Punchestown meeting of that year. The Town Hall had a starring role, as it was in 1904 that its rebuilding was coming to completion, yielding the picturesque frontage that still remains today as the entrance to Naas Library & Cultural Centre. This richly illustrated talk will be presented by Liam Kenny of the Naas Local History Group. Suitable for all ages.
All welcome to this history talk. No booking required.
