Healthy Ireland: The Cancer Guide: how to nurture wellbeing through and beyond a cancer diagnosis

Join Professor Anne-Marie O'Dwyer in Naas Library for a talk about her new book ‘The Cancer Guide: how to nurture wellbeing through and beyond a cancer diagnosis’, in collaboration with the Kildare Library Healthy Ireland at Your Library 2024 programme of events. This talk will provide advice on how to help patients, partners, family and work colleagues navigate the trials and difficulties associated with cancer and its treatment. With over 40 years’ worth of experience, Professor O'Dwyer's talk and book aims to combat the myths and misinformation surrounding the disease in an age of information overload, and to highlight the person at the heart of every treatment, providing helpful advice and information to all those whose lives and loved ones have been touched with cancer.
