How to change my Areas of Choice?
If you wish to change your areas of choice, you can post in your request to Houisng Assessments Team, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co Kildare W91 X77F or email it to housingassessments@kildarecoco.ie using the reference 'Areas of Choice' outlining your request, with your full name, address and contact phone number or email address.
You can only change your areas of choice once in a 12-month period.
How to add a child to my housing application>
If you wish to add a child, please submit a copy of the supporting documentation below (photocopies are preferred):
- Birth certificate
- PPSN
- Proof of residence (if applicable),
- Access/custody arrangements (if applicable) e.g. court documentation or Affidavit

How to add a partner to my housing application?
If you wish to add a partner, you will be required to submit a new Application Form for Social Housing Support. Please submit the required documentation as per page 3 and 4 of the application form for both applicants
Splitting housing applications for a couple who have separated.
Both applicants are required to submit new separate Application Form for Social Housing Support including the required documentation as per page 3 and 4 of the form. The new applications must be accompanied by a letter from both applicants consenting to the split.
The person leaving the household must also provide:
- Proof of new address
- Contact details
- If applicable, access/custody arrangements regarding children, in the form of court documentation or affidavit.
