Traveller Accommodation Programme
2025 – 2029
In accordance with the Housing (Traveller Accommodation) Act, 1998, Kildare County Council (being the relevant housing authority specified under the Act) has prepared a new Traveller Accommodation Programme for the period 2025 – 2029. This plan will cover the functional area of Kildare County Council.
Kildare County Council previously invited submissions for the Programme from interested parties to be made by Thursday, 28 March 2024. On foot of these submissions and following an assessment of existing and projected accommodation needs for members of the Traveller community within the Council’s administrative area, the Traveller Accommodation Programme has been prepared and can be viewed online here Traveller Accommodation Programme 2025-2029 .
