Kildare County Council, on behalf of Kildare Newbridge Municipal District Office, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following roads during the period between Tuesday, 13 June 2023 to Saturday, 30 September 2023 to facilitate the maintenance of the road network as per Section 13 of the Roads Act, 1993.

Alternative Routes: Eastbound Diversion starts on the L7024 30m west of the entrance to the Japanese Gardens. Head westbound to the junction of the L7024/L3005. Turn right onto the L3005 and head towards Kildare Town. In Kildare Town, at the junction of the L3005/L70252, turn right onto the L70252 (Meadow Road), then continue onto the junction of the L70252/R445 (Meadow Road/Dublin Street). Turn right onto the R445 (Dublin Street) and head eastbound until the junction of the R445/L3006, then turn right onto the L3006 (Curragh Road). Continue onto the junction of the L3006/L7028. Turn right onto the L7028 and head southbound until the junction of the L7028/L7030. At this junction turn right onto the L7030 and head northbound to the junction of the L7030/L7029 (Maddenstown Cross) where the diversion ends. Northbound Head southbound to the junction of the L7030/L7028, turn left and head towards the junction of the L7028/L3006, then turn left onto the L3006 and head towards Kildare Town. At the junction of the L3006/R445, turn left and head towards Kildare Town. At the junction of the R445/L70252, turn left onto the L70252 (Meadow Road). At the end of Meadow Road, at the junction of the L70252/L3005, turn left onto the L3005 (Tully Road) and travel southbound to the junction of the L3005/L7024. Turn left and keep on the L7024 past the entrance to the Japanese Gardens where the diversion ends. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare or directly on the consultation portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 22 May 2023.
