Midlands LGBT+ Book Club Mar 24

Maynooth Library host an LGBTQ+ book club every month in partnership with Midlands LGBT+ Project. The group meets on the third Thursday of each month and this month are reading 'Modern Nature' by Derek Jarman. Copies of the book are available for collection at the main desk.

Book Launch Basil McBride's 'Word of the Week'

Basil McBride is the alter-ego of Maynooth local, Lee Sheridan. Sheridan was shortlisted for the Red Line Book Festival 2023 Poetry Competition. Basil McBride's 'Word of the Week' is a collection of humorous articles that grew from a literacy initiative in the school that Basil works in. The aim of the initiative is to teach students a new word each week. There is something for everyone in the collection; most of the articles are flash-length entries and arranged thematically.*Drop In.*
