A Lilywhite night

Calling all Kildare GAA Fans!! You’re invited to A Lilywhite Night in Athy Library.

Athy Library will host a Lilywhite Night on Wednesday, March 8th at 6.30pm to mark the 25^th anniversary of the 1998 Leinster Final and the All Ireland Final between Kildare and Galway.

Tommy Callaghan, Sports Editor with the Leinster Leader will converse with Glenn Ryan, Anthony Rainbow and guests on the night.

Local singers, John Wright and Rob Chanders, will entertain us with some GAA songs and John MacKenna will read his short story ‘The Crest of a White Wave’.

Kildare GAA memorabilia from Kildare Libraries’ Local Studies department and a Lilywhite Wall of Memories will be available to view by all. A great night of music, memories and reminiscing about the 1998 Leinster Final and the All Ireland Final is guaranteed. Feel free to wear your Kildare Jersey or club colours for this special occasion.

This is a free, ticketed event with a maximum of two tickets per person. Spaces are limited. To get a ticket, please call into Athy Library. Access with tickets only on the night. Doors open at 6.00pm
