Dinner in 2050: The Future of Irish Food- Film Screening and Talk
Join us in Naas Library and Cultural Centre for a very special screening of Dinner in 2050: The Future of Irish Food. The filmmaker and chef Tadgh Byrne will be in discussion with Dr Sean Owens of Irish Doctors for the Environment and Plant-Based Doctors.
A collaboration between Wicklow Chef/Food Historian Tadgh Byrne and Dublin Filmmaker, Max Barry, this 1-hour documentary explores how Ireland will eat in 2050. The film looks at issues such as how technology will change farming, food security, robot chefs, drone deliveries and sustainability in the food supply chain.
Tadgh Byrne is a chef, presenter and writer from County Wicklow, Ireland. Tadgh Byrne owns a Críoch - an event and contract catering company operating. He holds an MA in Gastronomy and Food Studies, is a board member of the well-known food network Wicklow Naturally and a proud member of Eurotoques Ireland.
Dr Sean Owens is a pharmacist and doctor with an interest in nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and planetary health.
