Exhibition - Nine Lives by Greg Hallihan
Running for the month of November during Library opening hours
"Nine Lives" is an art exhibition inspired by local historian Mario Corrigan's book of the same title. It brings to light the untold story of the Rathbride Flying Column, whose members paid the ultimate sacrifice during the tumultuous era of the Irish Civil War.
Within this exhibition, we honor the memory of the seven men who were tragically executed in the confines of Curragh Camp prison, as well as the one who met a fateful end while "running away from the arrest." In addition, the exhibition pays tribute to the fiancée and brother of these courageous men.
Exhibition launch is at the Old Courthouse on October 27th @ 7.30pm
No Booking required – Everyone welcome!
