Exhibition Launch: ‘Uncovering Éire’ by Isabelle Smith
Uncovering Éire is an exploration into Ireland’s history as a progressive state. This exhibition contains work that explores the local history of the Curragh as a military training ground, and as an iconic, unique landscape. This work is hung in conjunction with paintings of political and societal commentary of a more contemporary Ireland. The work aims to represent and celebrate the history and culture of our local history and its relationship with the wider collective.
The artist Isabelle Smith is a Fine Art student in NCAD, working predominantly in oil paint. She has been involved in both solo and group exhibitions, such as Where Things Stand in IMMA Studios and Future Stars in The Holy Art Gallery Barcelona.
