Heritage Week / Climate Action workshops: Natural Dyeing and Spindle Spinning Workshop

Part 1: In this workshop participants will learn how plants, roots, lichens and trees were used in the dyeing of fibre in ancient Ireland, plus introducing plants that can be used today from our own home. Each participant will be given the opportunity to dye fibre using mason jars. Part 2: An introduction to spinning and how the ancient people in Ireland prepared and spun their fibre. Each participant will then be given the opportunity to learn the art of spindle spinning.
