As the title suggests, this body of paintings were developed by an intuitive activity of engagement with the materials of paint, characterised by expressive brushstrokes, an allowance for accidents and changes of mind and washes of evocative colours that reference the natural world and the language of contemporary painting.
Lorraine Walsh is a visual artist living and working in County Kildare, Ireland. A graduate of NCAD in painting, (MFA 2007), (BA 2005), she works predominantly in painting and drawing.
