Uillean Pipe Workshop with Brian Hughes and Joe Byrne
Saturday 4th November from 2pm – 4pm
Join us in Athy Library for a musical event to mark International Uilleann Piping Day, promoting and celebrating this beautiful instrument and looking at how the Uilleann Pipes have developed over the years around the world. The workshop will begin with a a short introduction and practical demonstration on the pipes and how they work, how the instrument is played and operates. The musicians will then perform a recital using the pipes.
