Kildare County Council, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it will close the following road during the week of Monday, 28 April 2025 to Friday, 02 May 2025 inclusive, to facilitate road works as part of the Royal Canal Greenway (Maynooth to Confey) scheme.

Alternative Route: Traffic from the R148 (travelling towards Deey Bridge/Lock 13) Should continue travelling along the R148 towards Leixlip until the R148/R449 junction. At the R148/R449 junction, turn right onto the R449 dual carriageway and continue travelling until the roundabout. At the roundabout take the third exit (signposted Kilmacredock) onto the L-5057 road. Traffic from the L-5057 (travelling towards Deey Bridge/Lock 13) Should continue travelling along the L-5057 road towards Leixlip until the roundabout at the R449 dual carriageway. At the roundabout take the first exit (signposted Leixlip/Maynooth) onto the R449 dual carriageway. Continue until the R148/R449 junction, turn left onto the R148 (in the direction of Maynooth). |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
