Kildare Play Day 2022

Kildare County Council has announced details of its 2022 Play Day event.

From 10th – 17th September a Treasure Hunt will take place across the county and children are encouraged to get involved by picking up a treasure hunt leaflet from their local participating library*.

Play Day is a national initiative aimed at promoting play and recreation opportunities for children and young people all over Ireland. The theme of this year’s event is All Play Together and children are invited to join in the fun in Kildare by visiting local sights and answering the fun treasure hunt questions. Return the leaflet to your local library for a chance to win a book voucher worth €10.

There are 700 book vouchers up for grabs and entries will be accepted until Saturday 17th September. But don’t delay! The first 50 submissions to each location will win the €10 book vouchers.

Outdoor play has a positive impact on children’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical wellbeing. Kildare County Council is proud to support this creative play initiative which is co-funded by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
