How do I Vote

Introduction

In order to be able to vote at an election or referendum in Ireland, a person's name must be entered on the register of electors for the locality in which the elector ordinarily resides.

Information on how to register to vote for the first time can be found on the Registering to Vote/Updating my details section of the website.

If you believe you are already registered you can go to Check the Register to locate your registration, where you will be able to view your registration including the name and location of your polling station.

If a person cannot find themselves on the Register please call 045 980 201.  

When you attend to vote, ensure you bring a valid form of personal identification, information at www.electoralcommission.ie/where-to-vote/
