Kathleen Lonsdale, an exhibition by Maeve Clancy which celebrates the life and work of the world-renowned Newbridge born crystallographer, will tour Kildare libraries this autumn and winter. Kathleen Lonsdale was an eminent scientist who helped to develop the science of crystallography, with many important discoveries along the way. In addition to the exhibition, Maeve Clancy has created a graphic novel charting the remarkable life and achievements of Kathleen Lonsdale.

A special pocket of time for you and your young child, specifically tailored for children under 3 years. There'll be Nursery Rhymes, Action Songs and an engaging story to support their literacy development. Places are limited and one ticket is required per child. All children must be supervised during this session.

Mindfulness Workshop: Age Friendly @ Your Library programme
Age: 55+ years. This workshop is delivered by a trained Occupational Health Nurse and psychotherapist trained in mindfulness. The workshop will offer an opportunity to learn about the health & wellness benefits of Mindfulness and spend some time practicing it. During this session, participants will create a quiet space that helps people to feel calm and more connected to ourselves and to others.
