Children’s Chess Club – 5 Weeks
For ages 8-10 years
Starting 16th April for 5 weeks, 6:30pm-7:45pm
Calling all junior chess players. We are delighted to announce the opening of Naas Chess Club for players aged 8 to 10 years. The club will run for 5 weeks initially as a series of weekly classes. We hope to continue the club fortnightly after that as an informal drop-in and play event, but we are hoping to engage some parents to help support this. The first meeting of the club will take place on Tuesday the 16th of April at 6:15pm, and we are inviting parents to attend a brief discussion on how the club will run on the first night. The class will then start at 6:30pm.
The club will be set up by Ruairí McManus from Red King Chess. Ruairí will run workshops for the first four weeks, teaching members how to play chess and, on the fifth week, there will be a tournament.
