Kildare County Council Signs Works Contract for Pausdeen Place Housing Project at Newtown, Celbridge
Kildare County Council has signed a contract appointing Bretland Construction Ltd. as the Main Contractor and Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS), for the Pausdeen Place housing project located at Ardclough Road, Newtown, Celbridge, Co Kildare.
The design was completed by Vincent Hannon Architects, who will lead the construction stage design team, with the other design team members including Tobins Consulting Engineers (Civil & Structural+ PSDP), Delap and Waller (Mechanical, Electrical & BER), Tom McNamara and Partners (Quantity Surveyors) and Cunnane Stratton Reynolds (Landscape Architects).
The project involves the construction of thirty-nine new social housing units, enabling infrastructure works at Pausdeen Bridge and a new pedestrian crossing on the Ardclough Road.
The project is funded through the Social Housing Investment Programme (SHIP), funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage and is scheduled for completion in 2027.
Speaking at the contract signing, the Cathaoirleach of the County of Kildare, Councillor Carmel Kelly said: “This is a very welcome step forward for Celbridge and County Kildare. Pausdeen Place will provide much-needed homes in a strong and well-established community, and it demonstrates the importance of continued investment in housing and local infrastructure to support the needs of our growing county.”
