Kildare County Council Unveils 2025 Creative & Arts Grants and Bursary Awards
9th January 2025: Kildare County Council is excited to announce a range of funding opportunities for Artists and Creatives in 2025. With 17 distinct grants, commissions and bursary awards available, we aim to foster creativity and support artistic projects across the county.

- Arts in Education Residency Bursary Award
- Arts, Health & Wellbeing Award
- Artistic Entrepreneur Bursary Award ( in partnership with Kildare Local Enterprise Office)
- Culture Night 2025 Commission Award
- Dennis O'Driscoll Literary Bursary Awards (for emerging and established writers)
- Drama League of Ireland Summer School Bursary Award
- Emerging Artist Solo Exhibition Award, (in partnership with Riverbank Arts Centre)
- Executive Coaching for Creative Professionals Bursary Award
- First Fortnight Award (in partnership with First Fortnight Festival)
- Local Publishing Award
- Platform 4 Recording Studio Bursary Award
- Research and Thinking Award
- Short Grass Short Film Bursary (€1,500) Award
- Short Grass Short Film Commission (€12,500) Award
- Tyrone Guthrie Centre Residency
- Youth Arts Residency Bursary Award
Submissions can now be made through our online portal at kildarecocoarts.submit.com.
The Closing date for receipt of applications for the Drama League of Ireland Summer School Bursary Award is 12pm, Friday 24th January 2025. All other awards have a closing date of 12pm, Friday, February 28th, 2025. Detailed eligibility criteria are available through each individual call out.
Grants & Bursaries Information Sessions 2025
Kildare County Council Arts Service will host a number of information sessions regarding the application process for arts grants and bursary awards. These sessions will be held at various locations throughout the county and will be of particular interest to individual artists, art collectives, community groups, youth groups and schools who intend to apply for Arts Grants from Kildare County Council in 2025.
Information Sessions are as follows
- Athy Library - Tuesday 14th Jan. 6 - 7.30pm
- Maynooth Library - Friday 17th Jan. 10.30 - 12pm
- Naas Library and Cultural Centre - Saturday 18th Jan. 10.30 - 12pm
All are welcome to attend these free sessions, but booking is recommended and can be done through any of the grant call outs on kildarecocoarts.submit.com.
