Mattress Amnesty Day in County Kildare
01 September 2026: Kildare County Council, in partnership with AES Recycling and supported by the Circular Economy Fund, is pleased to announce a Free Mattress Amnesty Day for householders.
Date: Sunday, 6th September 2026
Location: AES Recycling, Silliot Hill, Kilcullen, Co. Kildare
Time: 8:30am to 3:00pm
Residents are invited to bring unwanted mattresses for free disposal during this one-day event. The amnesty provides a convenient and environmentally responsible way to dispose of old household mattresses.
Please note:
- This event is for mattresses only.
- Double, single and triple mattresses only will be accepted.
- Maximum of 6 mattresses per delivery.
- No other waste or bulky household items will be accepted.
- The event is not open to commercial or charity entities and is restricted to household customers.
- Divans, pillows, bed frames, foot stools, couches, armchairs are not accepted.
Take this opportunity to dispose of old mattresses responsibly and help keep County Kildare clean and litter-free.
