Public invited to have their say on possible locations for outdoor teen facilities in Celbridge
Kildare County Council is inviting people in Celbridge and the surrounding area to take part in a public consultation on possible locations of a new outdoor teen facilities in the town.
The proposed facility at The Slip forms part of ongoing work to support young people in Celbridge by providing a safe and welcoming space where they can meet, socialise and be active in their community. The consultation will help inform the next stage of the project and identify other suitable locations for facilities.
Residents, parents, young people and community stakeholders are all encouraged to take part. Feedback gathered through the consultation portal will give the Council a better understanding of local views and help shape other outdoor facilities that reflects the needs of the community.
Simon Wallace, Senior Parks and Landscape Officer, Kildare County Council said: “This consultation is an important opportunity for the community to help shape outdoor facilities that will support young people in Celbridge. It is important that teenagers have a safe and welcoming places where they can meet, spend time and feel connected to their community. We want to hear from as many people as possible so that local views can help inform the next stage of the project and the selection of other suitable locations.”
Members of the public can take part by visiting Kildare County Council’s consultation portal, where they can review the information available and make a submission online. The closing date for submissions is 4th September 2026.
