Sean Nós Singing with Maire Ni Choilm
Join Máire, a Sean Nós singer from Gaoth Dobhair, a Gaeltacht in the northwest of Donegal here in Naas Library for an evening of learing and singing!
Her style of singing has its origins in the strong Gaeltacht area that she grew up in and she especially loves the songs from Tory Island. Máire has won numerous competitions over the years in both Gaeilge singing and English Ballad singing, Corn na mBan at the Oireachtas (1997, 2009,2012,2016). The All Ireland Fleadh (2005) and the Traditional Singing Competition at the Pan Celtic Festival (2008). But her lifelong dream came true in 2019 when she won the prestigious Corn Uí Riada at the Oireachtas in Dublin.
