As the title suggests, this body of paintings were developed by an intuitive activity of engagement with the materials of paint, characterised by expressive brushstrokes, an allowance for accidents and changes of mind and washes of evocative colours that reference the natural world and the language of contemporary painting.

Cruinniú na Óg: Social Art Workshop for 6-12 year olds with Noeleen Bontempi
For ages 6-12 years Social art is a fun and easy way for children to learn how to paint a canvas masterpiece of their own. This is done by following a few simple steps. These steps include: How to transfer images onto a canvas; what paint techniques to use; how to blend colours and mix colours. After this workshop, each child will take home their own unique picture.

“A Brush with Colour” is a wonderfully colourful display of c.40 acrylic paintings, showcasing a selection of art works from members of the Maynooth Senior Citizens Thursday Morning Art Club. Organised by Maynooth Senior Citizens Committee, the Thursday art classes were led by Susan Durack with the help of members of the Committee. NEW Summer Stars Children’s Book Club
As part of our national Summer Stars reading programme, Newbridge library will have a new Children’s book club running over the summer months. June, July and August. The club is suitable for readers 7yrs – 10yrs and will meet on the third Saturday morning at 10am each month.

This Cruinniú na nÓg let their imaginations run wild! Join us for some making fun for 1- 4 year olds. Practice fine motor skills while having fun! Build amazing creations using construction toys such as Magna-Tiles, Duplo, Mega Bloks, Blockaroo, puzzles and more.
