Kildare Observer (1880-1935) is available for free here
Irish Newspaper Archive is available to access for free in all Co. Kildare branch libraries and in Kildare County Archives and Local Studies Service, Harbour View, Naas. It includes a range of national and regional newspapers, including The Kildare Nationalist (formerly Nationalist & Leinster Times), The Leinster Express, The Irish Independent, The Freeman's Journal and The Irish Press. The Leinster Leader has also been partially digitised up to 1929.
Radical Newspaper Archive is also available to access for free in all branch libraries in County Kildare, along with Local Studies in Harbour View, Naas. This collection includes a wide range of specialist papers across the political spectrum, including nationalist, republican, labour and suffragette publications.
British Newspaper Archive is available for free in Kildare County Archives and Local Studies, Harbour View, Naas by prior appointment. It is also available in the main branch libraries in Athy, Celbridge, Kildare, Leixlip, Maynooth, Naas and Newbridge. This resource is particularly useful as it includes several decades of The Leinster Leader (1884-1889 & 1925-1955).

Leinster Leader Most issues from 1900 onwards. Condition varies from good to extremely poor. All years now on microfilm and some digitised on the Irish Newspaper Archive and the British Newspaper Archive.
