DZ Climate Champion 2025

Our inaugural DZ Climate Champion Awards were announced at Picnic in the Park on 15th June 2025.  Nine awards were distributed across all four categories - business, farming, community, and schools.  The judges were impressed by the quality of the applications and the positive actions being taken in Maynooth to address climate change and biodiversity loss.

The Oak Award was granted to:

• Norman Dunne Farmer
• Trevor Harris, Farmer

The Silver Birch Award was granted to:

• Maynooth Sustainable Energy Community
• Maynooth Community Church
• Probio Carbon

The Hawthorn Award was granted to:

• The Maynooth Bookshop
• Robinson Farms
• Maynooth Educate Together National School
