FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR COMMUNITY GROUPS/ORGANISATIONS AND CENTRES

 

Kildare County Council, through the Local Community Development Committee is now open for applications through the Local Enhancement Programme (LEP).

The Local Enhancement Programme (LEP) 2025 is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development. €233,001 is available through LEP through two separate application processes:

  • €198,096 to support Capital and Equipment. This includes funding towards carrying out necessary repairs and improvements to facilities, energy efficiency type projects, purchase of equipment e.g. tables and chairs, tools and signage, laptops and printers, training equipment etc. The maximum application amount is €10,000.
  • €34,905 to support Running Costs. This includes energy costs, heating costs, refuse charges, rental/lease costs, audit and accountancy fees, insurance costs, website maintenance. The maximum application amount is €1,000.

The priority of the LEP funding available in Kildare is to aid:

Community Groups/Organisations and Centres located in areas of disadvantage and/or with a clear remit to provide services to the most socially excluded in particular:

  • Community Centres/Facilities, Parish Halls
  • Family Resource Centres

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 5.00 pm on Friday 28th  February 2025.  It is important to read the funding guidelines carefully before completing the application form. Late or incomplete applications will not be assessed.
