Kerdiffstown Project Site Update 15.06.21 – Piling Works
The Contractor has commenced piling works this week.
Piles are necessary to provide a stable foundation for some of the structures on the site. This entails 300mm x 300mm x 15m concrete columns being driven into the ground using a large rig with a hammer.
Unfortunately these works will generate some noise nuisance. The rig being used has an insulated hammer but there will still be residual noise. Noise and vibration monitoring will be in place for the duration of the works. The piling works are due to be completed by the end of the week.
