RZLT Annual Draft Map
This stage asks you to consider the Annual Draft Map for County Kildare RZLT for 2025.
The Annual Draft Map has identified the lands that satisfy the criteria for the RZLT.
The total area of land that satisfies the relevant criteria and is proposed to be included in the final map is 1696.004Ha.

At this stage, after inspecting the Annual Draft Map, submissions can only be made for the following issues;
- Include / exclude land based on the criteria or challenge the date on which a site first satisfied the relevant criteria
A submission should set out your reasons with reference to the criteria in the legislation.

The closing date for receipt of submissions is 1st April 2024.
All submissions will be published on our consultation portal on April 11th
- Zoning Request
A submission requesting a change in zoning can only be made by the landowner in relation to land that is already on the map.
Where a land use zoning change is sought, the landowner should set out why the change in zoning is in the interest of the proper planning and sustainable development of the area, as well as any other circumstances which they wish to bring to the local authority’s attention.
