Funding Opportunity for Community Groups/Organisations and Centres
27th January, 2025: Kildare County Council, through Kildare Local Community Development Committee, is now accepting applications for the Local Enhancement Programme (LEP).
This Programme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development, with a total of €233,001 available through two separate application processes:
- Capital and Equipment Funding: €198,096 is available to support necessary repairs and improvements to facilities, energy efficiency type projects, purchase of equipment such as tables and chairs, tools and signage, laptops and printers, training equipment etc. The maximum application amount is €10,000.
- Running Costs Funding: €34,905 is available to support energy costs, heating costs, refuse charges, rental/lease costs, audit and accountancy fees, insurance costs, website maintenance. The maximum application amount is €1,000.
The priority of the LEP funding in Kildare is to aid community groups/organisations and centres located in areas of disadvantage and/or with a clear remit to provide services to the most socially excluded. This includes community centres/facilities, parish halls, and family resource centres,
The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 5.00 pm on Friday 28th February 2025. It is important to read the funding guidelines carefully before completing the application form as late or incomplete applications will not be assessed.
