Athy Flood Relief Scheme
Public Participation Day #1
Venue: Athy Community Library
Date: Tuesday, 27 February 2024
Time: 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Kildare County Council in conjunction with the OPW are progressing the implementation of the Athy Flood Relief Scheme.
The purpose of this early-stage consultation event is to give interested individuals an overview of the project, to offer the opportunity to engage with the project team, to share their experiences of flooding in Athy and offer views on how the scheme should progress.
Presentation material will include information on the project, existing flood risk, and currently identified environmental constraints that may influence the scheme design.
We are seeking input from the public and stakeholders in relation to:
- Key issues and constraints that might affect the scheme,
- Options to manage the flood risk in the area,
- To highlight points of local importance that might constrain the design and/or viability of any potential flood alleviation measures, and to,
- Collate any other relevant information, including any flood events that have occurred.
A Project Newsletter will be available on the day for viewing and/or download via the project website. www.floodinfo.ie/athyfrs
We would appreciate it if interested parties could complete the Feedback Form available via. the website.
