Kildare County Council confirms funding opportunities under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme
Kildare County Council is seeking expressions of interest for funding under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
The Department of Rural and Community Development recently announced funding for local authorities to support the development of projects designed to breathe new life into rural communities. As part of the scheme, Kildare County Council can make two applications, with up to €50,000 available for project development measures.
Kildare County Council is inviting expressions of interest from eligible groups for projects that meet the criteria and objectives of the scheme across the three categories of funding based on population size – Category 1: Towns/Villages with population of 5,000 or less, Category 2: Towns/Villages with population of 5,001 – 10,000 and Category 3: Towns/Villages with population of up to 15,000.
Projects that include nature-based solutions or have a strong focus on sustainability are encouraged as well as accessibility and inclusivity.
