Traveller Accommodation Programme 2025 – 2029
Notice of Intention
Notice of intention to prepare new Traveller Accommodation Programme for the period 2025-2029 and to carry out an assessment of existing and projected Traveller accommodation needs.
In accordance with the Housing (Traveller Accommodation) Act, 1998, Kildare County Council (being the relevant housing authority specified under the Act) is preparing a new Traveller Accommodation Programme for the period 2025-2029. This plan will cover the functional area of Kildare County Council. In accordance with the provisions of the Act, the Council intends to carry out an assessment of the existing and projected accommodation needs.
Any person or organisation who wishes to make a submission in respect of the new Traveller Accommodation Programme is invited to do so. Submissions should be made on the Council’s Online Consultation Portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/ or in writing and marked “Traveller Accommodation Programme 2025-2029” and addressed to Senior Executive Officer, Housing Department, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare to be received no later than 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, 28 March 2024.
