Kildare County Council, on behalf of Irish Rail, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road on Saturday, 06 May 2023 to Sunday, 07 May 2023 to facilitate emergency works to a bridge parapet.
The road will be closed from 00:00 a.m. Saturday night through to 08.00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Alternative Routes: L1016 – Travel north for 2.8km then turn right into Simmonstown Manor housing estate, follow Simmonstown Manor Road (L6057) for 0.9km to its end before turning right at the R405. Follow the R405 for approximately 4.5km before turning right onto the L6002 and to the diversion end. L6002 – Is the reverse of the above. |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Roads, Transportation and Public Safety, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare or directly on the consultation portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 17 April 2023.
