Kildare County Council, on behalf of Kildare Newbridge Municipal District Office, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following roads during the period between Tuesday, 25 April 2023 to Saturday, 30 September 2023 to facilitate the maintenance of the road network as per Section 13 of the Roads Act 1993.

Alternative Routes: Westbound traffic at the junction of the R416/L7045 (Byrnes Cross) travel eastbound on the L7045 over Sex Bridge to the Newbridge College Roundabout (L7045/L7041). Exit the roundabout onto the L7041 in a northbound direction, leaving the environs of Newbridge and travelling to the junction of the L7041/L7087 (Thomastown Railway Bridge). At the Junction turn left onto the L7087 and travel towards the junction of the L7087/R415 (Allen Cross). At Allen Cross turn left onto the R415 and travel onto Milltown Village and finish the diversion at the junction of the R415/R416. Eastbound traffic travel in a northbound direction on the R415 to the junction R415/L7087 (Allen Cross). At Allen Cross turn right onto the L7087 in an eastbound direction to the junction of the L7087/L7041(Thomastown Railway Bridge). Turn right onto the L7041 and travel southbound towards Newbridge. In Newbridge, at the Newbridge College Roundabout (L7045/L7041) take the L7045 passing over Sex Bridge and onto the junction of the R416/L7045 (Byrnes Cross) to finish the diversion. |

Alternative Routes: Westbound traffic at the junction of the R448/L6080 stay on the R448 and travel towards Kilcullen to the junction of the R413/R448. At the junction turn left onto the R413 and travel a distance of 0.9km to the junction of the R413/L6081.At the junction turn left onto the L6081(Sunnyhill Road) and travel to the junction of the L6081/L6075 where the diversion finishes. Eastbound traffic at the junction of the L6075/L6081 turn onto the L6081 (Sunnyhill Road) and travel in a northbound direction to the junction of the L6081/R413. At this junction turn right onto the R413 and travel towards Kilcullen Village to the junction of the R413/R448. At this junction turn right onto the R448 and travel southbound for 2km finishing at the junction of the L6080/R448 Knockaulin, Kilcullen. |

Alternative Routes: Eastbound traffic at the junction of the R413/R416/L7035 (Kinneagh Cross), travel westbound on the R413 to the junction of the R413/L7034 (Donnelly’s Hollow), turn left onto the L7034 and continue on the L7034 to the junction of the L6075/L7034. At the junction turn left onto the L6075, then continue on the L6075 and L6080 to the junction of the L6080/R448 (Knockaulin, Kilcullen). At the junction turn left onto the R448, travelling towards Kilcullen Village and finishing at the R413/R448. Westbound traffic at the junction of the R413/R448 in Kilcullen Village, travel south towards the junction of the L6080/R448 (Knockaulin, Kilcullen). At the junction turn right onto the L6080 and then the L6075, travelling onwards to the junction of the L6075/L7034. At the junction turn right onto the L7034 and travel to the junction of the R413/L7034 (Donnelly’s Hollow). At the junction turn right onto the R413 and continue on the R413 to finish at the junction of the R413/R416/L7035 (Kinneagh Cross). |

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.

Kildare or directly on the consultation portal at https://consult.Kildarecoco.ie/en on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 10 April 2023.
