Notice of Making the Kildare County Development Plan 2023 - 2029
Notice is hereby given, under Section 12 (12) (a) of the Planning and Development Act 2000, (as amended), that on Friday, 9 December 2022 Kildare County Council, being the Planning Authority for County Kildare, made the Kildare County Development Plan covering the period 2023 - 2029 for its functional area. Notice is also given, under Article 131 of the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 (as amended), that a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Statement has been prepared. This Statement summarises:
(a) How environmental considerations have been integrated into the Plan,
(b) How (i) the Environmental Report prepared pursuant to Article 13C,
(ii) submissions and observations made to the Planning Authority in response to a notice under Section 12(1) or (7) of the Act, and
(iii) any consultations under Article 13F, have been taken into account during the preparation of the Plan.
(c) The reasons for choosing the Plan, as adopted, in the light of the other reasonable alternatives dealt with, and
(d) The measures decided upon to monitor, in accordance with Article 13J, the significant environmental effects of implementation of the Plan.
The County Development Plan shall have effect from Saturday, 28 January 2023 and shall replace the Kildare County Development Plan 2017-2023.
Copies of the County Development Plan, the SEA Statement, the Appropriate Assessment Natura Impact Report and the Strategic Flood Risk Assessment are available for inspection at the following location:
Kildare County Council, Planning Department, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare. (Public Opening Hours 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday).

The County Development Plan will be available for purchase through the Planning Department in due course.
