Kildare County Council shortlisted for the Public Sector Digital Transformation Awards 2023
Kildare County Council has been shortlisted in the Data Innovation of the Year category in the Business Post Public Sector Digital Transformation Awards 2023. The awards recognize and celebrate excellence and innovation in the delivery of public sector digital transformation.
Kildare County Council has been shortlisted for the innovative GeoCollect tool, which integrates multiple, complex datasets (e.g. GeoDirectory/Rates Valuation Data) and geospatial data (e.g. satellite and street view imagery) together in one place through a customised Geographical Information System.
The design and development of the tool is a collaboration between Commercial Rates and IT departments within Kildare County Council. Commercial rates income is integral in funding the provision of services to our citizens. The Commercial Rates department uses this innovative application to ensure commercial rateable properties are captured accurately and to assess changes in tenancy, rates liability and vacancy.
The awards ceremony will take place on the 5th October in the Shelbourne Hotel.
