Achieve new Economic insights and connections at Kildare #Future 24 Economic Outlook Conference

Kildare County Council in association with Kildare Chamber are hosting #Forward24, an Economic Outlook Conference which will focus on the ever-changing business environment. The #Forward24 seminar, which takes place in the Osprey Hotel on Tuesday 12th September, will have a number of high-profile keynote speakers discussing how Kildare business owners and managers can adapt to deliver growth and sustainability for their businesses. The event will inform, inspire and engage the key leaders and decision makers in Kildare businesses to take a proactive approach to business planning. The local insights provided, coupled with information on emerging supports from the key agencies will support businesses to face, with confidence, any challenges 2024 might present.
The keynote speaker for the event is prominent economist and author, Jim Power. Jim will be joined on the morning by Chief Executive of Kildare County Council, Sonya Kavanagh, Justin Gleeson, Director of the All-Island Research Observatory (AIRO) located at Maynooth University, the President of Kildare Chamber Mairead Hennessy, Enterprise Ireland CEO, Leo Clancy and Imelda Rey, Director of People and Change at Grant Thornton.
The recent census figures highlighted population growth of 11% in Kildare to over 247,000 citizens. As a thought leader in his field, Jim Power will give his unique perspective on the economic outlook for the county and the country. Each of the speakers will provide their own insights on the future direction of the county and the challenges and opportunities that come with further increased demand for housing, infrastructural developments in Kildare, demographic challenges for the county and the evolving world of work for Kildare based employees and employers.
Sonya Kavanagh Chief Executive of Kildare County Council remarked that this is a unique opportunity for business people in Kildare to network and plan for the future: “Events like the Forward 24 seminar provide a brilliant opportunity for business owners and managers to come together, to inform, inspire and plan for the future.”

Commenting on the event, the President of County Kildare Chamber, Mairead Hennessy, said; “At County Kildare Chamber, we are very aware that our members are dealing with uncertainty on a number of fronts. In our recent pre-Budget submission we set out several broad areas for consideration by the Government within the confines of Budget 2024. This event promises to be very relevant and informative for Kildare businesses. The panel of experts will provide insights into a broad spectrum of challenges and opportunities for business as we head into the closing months of 2023.”
The event will commence with a networking breakfast from 7.45am. The panel session will take place from 8.30am to 12.30pm.
