The Ending of the Irish Civil War. History talk presented by John Dorney.

Historian John Dorney explains how the Civil War ended with the defeat of anti-Treatyites, the death of IRA Chief of Staff Liam Lynch in April 1923 in the Knockmealdown mountains and Frank Aiken's 'Dump Arms Order' of May 1923. 

John Dorney is an independent historian, editor of The Irish Story website and author of 'Peace After the Final Battle the Story of the Irish Revolution' (2014) and 'The Civil War in Dublin, the Fight for the Irish Capital' (2017).

The talk will take place on the upstairs mezzanine, accessible by stairs / chair lift.
