Local Enhancement Programme funding for Kildare Community and Voluntary Groups

Kildare County Council and Kildare Local Community Development Committee are delighted to announce the successful applicants under the Local Enhancement Programme 2026.
Sixty-four successful community and voluntary groups/organisations will share funding of €246,667.65 to support small scale capital and equipment costs.
Three of the groups being funded today are:
- Curragh Family Resource Centre will receive €7,425.18 towards storage, chairs, painting and repairs.
- Rathangan Community Association will receive €8,715.07 towards toys and materials for a sensory room.
- Ballyna Rural Enterprise Development Association Ltd (B.R.E.D.A) will receive €3,859 towards renovating their floor.
The Local Enhancement Programme is funded through the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht. It aims to support community groups, organisations and centres located in areas of disadvantage and/or with a clear remit to provide services to the most socially excluded.
