Castledermot Town Team and Town Centre First Plan

Help make the town a better place to live, work, visit and invest

Kildare County Council welcome the news that Castledermot has been granted funding for the preparation of a ‘Town Centre First (TCF) Plan’ under the Government’s Town Centre First Policy. The Town Centre First Plan will compliment and build on the already published ‘Castledermot Small Town Renewal Masterplan’ and the community will be invited to become involved in making their TCF Plan through community workshops and surveys.

Town Team – Expressions of Interest

Are you interested in participating in the new Castledermot Town Team?

As part of the Town Centre First plan making process, a Town Team will be established. Kildare County Council are now seeking enthusiastic individuals to join the newly established Castledermot Town Team. A Town Team is a diverse group of local residents, business people, community representatives, and other community stakeholders. These teams play a crucial role in driving positive, long-term changes within their community.

Why join the Castledermot Town Team?

By joining the Castledermot Town Team, you will have the chance to make a real difference in your community. Your collective involvement will help shape the future of Castledermot and ensure it remains a vibrant and thriving town.

Who should apply?

Kildare County Council encourage expressions of interest from people across the Castledermot community. The collective skills of the team will help ensure the successful development and execution of the Town Centre First Plan.

*Note: There may be only one person put forward for nomination from any representative community group. Submitting an Expression of Interest does not guarantee a position on the Town Team. There will be a selection process to ensure a balanced and effective team composition.

How to apply?

If you are interested in making a difference in Castledermot and contributing to its future development, please complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) Form below and submit to kildaretcf@kildarecoco.ie by the 30th of August 2024 at 5pm.

Forms are also available for pick up / drop off at the Castledermot Community Centre and Community Library or by request from kildaretcf@kildarecoco.ie
