Events Application Forms
Kildare County Council parks and open spaces are available to you to hold events. An event in a KCC managed park or open space can only take place with prior written permission.
In order for your proposed event to be considered for approval, you must complete the Events Application Form. Please note that we require application form to be returned 8 weeks in advance of the proposed events start date. Applicants are also required to meet with a member of the Parks team one week in advance of the events proposed start date to walk the site, inspect ground conditions and get a better understanding of how you intend to use the site for your proposed event.
The application form is in two parts:
- Part 1 asks applicants to complete an event overview.
- Part 2 asks applicants to provide additional details on health and safety, event safety management and traffic management.
The application forms can be downloaded from the links below. Please complete all sections of the application forms and return the completed forms and any required supporting documents by email to parks@kildarecoco.ie for the Parks Department to review.
Your application is not considered valid until all information requested by us is received. The onus is on you, the applicant, to ensure that all details you provide are correct. Please note, the use of UAVs / drones is not permitted at any KCC managed park or open space.
Regarding your insurance cover, Kildare County Council require applicants have their own public liability insurance cover in place with a limit of indemnity not less than €6.5 million. Applicants are required to indemnify Kildare County Council. Written confirmation of same should be submitted to Kildare County Council. Please submit your insurance cover note with Kildare County Council indemnified.
Funfairs and Circuses are required to pay a daily rate for the use of a site plus a refundable bond to cover potential damage or non-compliance with park regulations. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. In accordance with the Planning and Development Act 2024, all funfair and circus operators must submit a valid certificate of safety for each piece of equipment, in addition to the events application form and other relevant supporting documents. The certificate of safety must be issued by a competent individual and must detail the date of inspection, date of expiry and include a photo of the piece of equipment. This applies to both hard equipment and inflatables.
Kildare County Council may postpone or cancel the event due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. There will be no compensation for postponed or cancelled events.
