Photography / Photoshoot Permits
Kildare County Council Parks & Open Spaces Department is responsible for maintaining and managing parks and green spaces throughout County Kildare. Many of our parks and open spaces can offer attractive locations for photography / photoshoots (e.g. wedding photographs). There is no fee to have wedding photos taken in KCC managed parks or open spaces.
Photography / photoshoots at a KCC managed park or open space can only take place with prior written permission. We kindly ask that you provide at least 2 weeks’ notice for any proposed photography request. Please email your request to parks@kildarecoco.ie, you will be asked to complete a short application form to provide us with an overview of your proposed photoshoot. Your application is not considered valid until all information requested by us is received. The onus is on you, the applicant, to ensure that all details you provide are correct.
Requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account factors such as the number of other park users, existing scheduled events, planned maintenance works and site-specific sensitivities such as access or wildlife habitats. Should your requested be approved, you will be issued with a permission letter for photography / photoshoot.
Please note, the use of UAVs / drones is not permitted at any KCC managed park or open space.
