Parks and Open Spaces

Wildlife Park is a community garden space along the River Barrow on Main Street. The garden includes trees and a wildflower meadow running down to the river. Ornamental pollinator friendly flowerbeds have been created towards Main Street that add visual interest and provide additional food for native pollinators.

This playground is located beside Ireland’s historic aqueduct, offering a safe and well-maintained space for children and views of the Grand Canal. Features of the playground include a long slide, a rope ladder, and a spacious sand play area. The playground is designed to cater to children of all ages. It is an accessible area of all ages to enjoy with family friendly picnic benches.

The Liffey Linear Park is a 9.5-acre public park located along the River Liffey in Newbridge, Co. Kildare. Developed since the 1970s, it stretches from St. Conleth's Bridge to the Athgarvan Road, offering 1.5 km of pathways. It is a space of scenic beauty and tranquillity steeped in history and tradition.  Some of the features to be enjoyed are a natural play area, orchards, a bandstand and wildflower gardens.

The Valley Riverside Park in Kilcullen is a community run space located behind the Credit Union on Main Street, Kilcullen, Co Kildare. The two-acre riverside park is a place for all to enjoy nature, history, and experience the community spirit of Kilcullen. There is a Fairy Trail for children to explore and enjoy along the banks of the River Liffey.

Tannery Park is three acres of amenity space adjacent to the Grand Canal in Rathangan. The park features a playground.
