The Royal Canal Greenway is Ireland’s longest off‑road walking and cycling trail, stretching 130 km along the historic Royal Canal from Maynooth in County Kildare to Cloondara in County Longford.

The Barrow Blueway
The route is 120Km long. It starts in Robertstown, Co. Kildare following the Barrow Line to Athy where it joins the River Barrow tow path and goes all the way to St. Mullins in south Carlow. The Barrow Way passes through the towns of Rathangan, Monasterevin,
FurthAthy, Carlow, Leighlinbridge, Muine Bheag, Goresbridge, Borris and Graiguenamanagh.
