This Litter Management Plan encompasses the period 2026–2028 and it contains all the actions that Kildare County Council undertakes in order to tackle the litter problem in the county. The Litter Pollution Act 1997 requires local authorities to make and implement a Litter Management Plan in respect of its functional area. The Litter Management Plan 2026 - 2028, was approved by the Elected Members of Kildare County Council at their meeting on Monday 24th November, 2025.
