Public Engagement
Community engagement is central to the work of the Kildare Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP). The Partnership is currently developing its three-year Local Community Safety Plan for County Kildare, which will identify local community safety priorities and the actions needed to address them over the coming years.
To help shape the Plan, the LCSP wants to hear directly from people across County Kildare about the community safety issues that matter most to them. A programme of public consultation and engagement is currently being arranged across the county, providing opportunities for individuals, communities and organisations to have their say.
Have Your Say – Our Surveys Are Now Open
As part of the consultation process, the LCSP has launched two public surveys to ensure that both adults and young people have an opportunity to contribute to the development of the Plan.

We encourage people across County Kildare to take part and to share the surveys with family, friends, colleagues, community groups and local networks.
Consultation Events Across County Kildare
In addition to the surveys, the LCSP is currently arranging consultation and engagement opportunities across County Kildare. These will provide further opportunities for communities to share their experiences, identify local concerns and suggest potential actions that could improve community safety and wellbeing.

- information on how to participate;
- the purpose of each consultation or event; and
- any other opportunities to contribute to the development of the Plan.

How Your Feedback Will Be Used
The views and feedback gathered through the surveys, consultations and other engagement activities will help the Partnership to identify and prioritise community safety issues and inform the development of Kildare’s three-year Local Community Safety Plan.
The LCSP is committed to encouraging broad and inclusive participation so that the Plan reflects the experiences and priorities of the diverse communities that live, work and spend time in County Kildare.
